Suraery is the best treatment of HCC. but only in cases of very limited tumors. Although the results of this retrospective study should he confirmed by a prospective study. TOCE can be considered as a useful palliative treatment which can be advocated for a significant number of inoperable patients. The choice between resection and liver transplantation still remains controversial. However transplantation seems to provide the best results in case of small tumors developed in a cirrhotic liver. Combine treatment by association of surgery and chemoembolisation is now under evaluation.
