Urinary incontinence (UI) can be distressing for women of all ages, and in many cases, women are not given the opportunity to discuss urinary issues or explain the profound effects on quality of life. Although a few studies have examined the lived experience of UI in women, none have focused on Alaskan women living in the 49th state, or "The Last Frontier". To address these gaps, this study explored and analyzed the experiences of 17 Alaskan women living with UI in rural and urban settings.
