The evaluation methods of Both health eating index (HEI) and China diet balance index (DBI) were established based on dietary guidelines of diet quality. The characteristics of HEI and DBI were reviewed from several aspects of establishment foundation and development, scoring system and methods, application, advantages and disadvantages.
