Some of these ideas will reduce the number of uninsured in the country, and it is useful to watch presidential candidates endorse one of more of them as panaceas for solving the problem. Even if all were adopted by all states it would be impossible to provide good insurance to all citizens without a massive infusion of new money, which politicians do not like to acknowledge. Unless benefits are drastically reduced, many would remain uninsured.
