The surgical treatment option for corneal diseases and injury - therapeutic silicone-dried amnion surfacing is widely used in ophthalmological care. The Voronezh Regional Clinical Eye Clinic has developed and introduced into a therapeutic process an alternative option, namely jointless therapeutic amnion corneal surfacing, by using a soft contact lens and viscoelastic. This option is easy-to-use and enables psychoemotional stress associated with a surgical intervention to be avoided. It may be employed in patients with severe somatic diseases, its clinical effectiveness being retained.
