Experience with transvaginal hydrolaparoscopy in the gynecologic clinic

The search for new, simpler, faster and cheaper methods in diagnostics of disorders within the peritoneal cavity in gynecology, also in out-patients and in one-day surgery, has led to the development of transvaginal hydrolaparscopy. In the paper, own experience with 26 cases of transvaginal hydrolaparscopy was described. We concluded that hydrolaparoscopy by means of a modified diagnostic hysteroscopy, equipped with a safe Verres needle seems to be a safe, simple and cheap diagnostic procedure in the assessment of pelvic organs. The assessment of fimbrie of the oviduct and the distal part of the oviduct is better, than during laparoscopy and hysterosalpingography, but at present, hydrolaparoscopy does not allow for a sufficient assessment of pelvic organs as traditional laparoscopy.
