Quality of life assessment in cancer palliative care

In the palliative cancer care field, few qualified evidences about health outcomes, e.g., quality of life (QOL), have been produced and applied to daily care. This article firstly describes the reality of qualified evidences in this field examined by MEDLINE search, and introduces some of the recently published qualified papers. Secondly, this article introduces some of the standard methods how to select appropriate QOL instruments. Finally, this article reviews recent topics about concepts and theories for health outcomes assessments.
