To search for an ideal therapy for allergic rhinitis. Injection of human gamma globulin (300 mg, 3 mL) into Zusanli (ST 36) plus radiation of TDP at Jiexi (ST 41) was used for treatment of allergic rhinitis with western medicine used as controls. Their therapeutic effects were compared. After treatment of one therapeutic course, the cured rate was 40.0% in the treatment group and 23.3% in the control group with a very significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01), the treatment group being better than the control group. Point-injection plus TDP radiation is an ideal therapy with a short therapeutic course, no adverse effect and reliable therapeutic effect.
