Tuberculosis of the gallbladder and its lymph nodes

The authors give a report of three women, aged 60 with tuberculous cholecystitis. At control examinations 2 and 4 years after the operation all two with tuberculostatic therapy and one without this therapy revealed a satisfactory condition. Three other women aged about 46 suffered from tuberculosis of the lymphatic nodes in the ligamentum hepato-duodenal, twice under e progressive form, once with calcification. One of the patients with e concomitant cirrhosis of the liver died soon after the operation. The two other with a tuberculostatic therapy are well during a period of 2 or 6 years. The final diagnosis was not made before the histological examination. Of all our six cases only one had a concomitant pulmonary tuberculosis. The authors are pointing out the possibility of propagation of the tuberculous agent by means of the lympatic ways or as a discrete hematogenous dissemination.
