Prediction of hemodynamic disturbances in patients with chronic calculous cholecystitis

The Subjects of the study were 267 patients with chronic calculous cholecystitis (CCC), in 132 of whom it was accompanied by postinfarction cardiosclerosis. The researchers studied the influence of various clinical forms of CCC on cardiovascular system (CVS) functioning, and established cardiovascular criteria to determine when a surgery for CCC can be performed without serious cardiogenic postoperative complications. With this aim they performed echoCG and tredmill test (TMT) before and 2 months after the surgery.The results show that important factors of early prediction of pre- and postoperative cardiovascular complications in patients with CCC are initial central types of hemodynamics, age, and inflammatory processes in the gall-bladder and biliferous tract.Comparison of the clinical forms of CCC to the condition of system hemodynamics and physical activity tolerance, evaluated by means of TMT, suggests that the main factor of the impairment of CVS functioning is CCC severity, which is also evidenced by the fact that exercise performance improves, and the initial central types of hemodynamics transform in the early postoperative period.
