On the basis of the results of the study it may be said that the level of knowledge on nutrition, declared attitudes towards family nutrition, and place of the family in the social structure have an important (usually significant) influence on the bought assortment of baker's products, dairy products, fat, and a lower one on meat sorts. Among these factors the principal role has the educational level of the head of the family (a lower effect was exerted by the educational level of the mother). The degree of satisfaction with the available assortment of baker's products, dairy products and meat sorts depended also on the knowledge of the mother on nutrition and educational level of the family head and mother. It was lower with the higher level of these factors. The higher level of knowledge on nutrition health-promoting attitude towards nutrition, and higher social standing of the family were more frequently connected with consideration of health promotion motivation in purchasing of food.
