Women's health in Nepal: the neglected dimension

The paper considers some of the obstacles to the provision of health services for women in Nepal, research findings on women's morbidity, and the effect of female morbidity on women's lives. It is concluded that research is needed to document the levels and types of women's morbidity in Nepal. Formulation and implementation of a reproductive health care strategy which includes improved maternal care, increased access to family planning, legalized abortion, and legislation to enhance the status of women is a good beginning.
