Clinical analysis of radiofrequency treatment of trigeminal neuralgia secondary to intracranial tumors

To analyse the feasibility of radiofrequency treatment in patients with secondary trigeminal neuralgia caused by tumor. 4 cases of secondary trigeminal neuralgia were treated by RFT under CT positioning. Therapeutic effect was evaluated after procedure. 4 cases achieved a favorable effect. Pains disappeared after RFT under CT positioning. No complication and tumor spread were found. High relief of pain can be obtained in management of secondary trigeminal neuralgia by RFT. As these kinds of patients can not be cured by craniotomy, it is possible to treat the secondary trigeminal neuralgia by RFT.
