Tolmezzo was selected as the educational centre of Carnia, drawing its school population from a large area and representing a notable fraction of the total school population although not statistically representative of the whole area of Carnia. Rapid medical assessments were made of 882 boys and 663 girls of ages from 3 to 22 years. Heights and weights are tabulated for boys from 5 to 19 and for girls from 5 to 17 years.
