New methods of 3D visualization in operating field give better possibilities in different surgical specialties. Authors analyzed current optical systems for choosing assumption of the method to better visualize the inner ear intraoperatively. For practical clinical reasons optimal imaging of the inner ear is possible with additional digital processing on the display fitted to the head of the operating microscope.
