Families as the axis of the organization

The authors present the advantages of an organization of primary health care teams whose central axis is composed by the family and in which the role of nurses plays a very important role in this organization's activities since nursing profession is a front line profession in this type of organization. By family, the authors mean the nucleus of those who live together with individuals attended to, and this proposal centers its focus on family matters in the role of nursing professionals who act to connect pediatricians and general physicians.
