The article refers to the nursing treatment required when using a gastrostomy to administer enteral nutrition, mainly for children. Emphasis is placed on the attention to parents, since they are the ones who will apply this treatment. The author analyses the cures for a stoma, external support mechanisms and possible complications that may arise along with solutions for them.
