This article reports the clinical findings and diagnosis of ryegrass staggers outbreaks in sheep in several parts of England, UK in 1995, caused by ingestion of ryegrass (e.g. Lolium perenne) or other grasses infected with the seedborne endophytic fungus Acremonium lolii.
