In the July issue of Professional Nurse we summarised key recommendations set out in the National Service Framework for Coronary Heart Disease for primary care nurses. This paper describes one such strategy in practice, the nurse-led clinic, and demonstrates its effectiveness in tackling CHD patients' problems, including poor diet, smoking and an inactive lifestyle.
