While traditional implant prostheses were designed to allow passive fit of the fixed partial denture (FPD) frameworks onto titanium implants, screw-retained restorations were unable to accommodate these parameters. Aesthetics and longevity were also compromised when porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) restorations were selected. The use of contemporary restorative materials has allowed the predictable delivery of PFMs that can restore entire arches using FPD technologies for aesthetic treatment. This article describes a modified method for the fabrication of full-arch FPDs to maximize the fit, aesthetics, and maintenance potential for this type of restoration.
