The delivery of azelaic acid was studied from three dermic formulations: 1. a water soluble ointment base, 2. an emulsion oilmenl base, 3. a jelly. "In vitro" diffusion kinetics were stated with several artificial, porous or lipidic, membranes, or with Nake Rat skin. A study of absorption "in vivo" through human skin was also performed. Formulation changed results significantly. Correlations were shown between "in vivo" and some "in vitro" kinetics.
