Two letters respond to Marshall's November 17, 2000, article on a planned methylphenidate (Ritalin) trial to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in preschoolers. The first letter argues that the writer's role in the Ritalin class action suits was mischaracterized. The second letter disagrees with the definition of ADHD as a disease.
