Breast feeding is the best source of complete nutrition for the first 4-6 months of life. Weaning foods should be selected so as to represent all food groups. Locally available and inexpensive foods can be prepared for consumption by young children. Traditional methods can be adopted to clean modern technology so as to ensure wholesome foods that are not contaminated.
