Schoenlein-Henoch purpura in Lyme disease

A case is reported in a 22-year-old man from France , who developed sudden fever, myalgia and inflammatory arthralgia. Two days later he developed a diffuse petechial purpura affecting his whole body except the head. Lyme disease was diagnosed after serological tests (ELISA and Western blot) were positive. The patient recovered after therapy with ceftriaxone (2 g/day).
