Various aspects related to lesions and infections produced in humans due to the bites of ticks which live in our country are focused on in this article. Some kinds of ticks found here are described and identified. The author also points out the possible infections these ticks can transmit, mentioning their symptoms, the corresponding treatment in situ as well as in health centers along with preventive measures one can take to avoid at risk situations.
