The stability of amphotericin B lipid complex (ABLC) in peritoneal dialysis fluid was measured. Results showed that the amphotericin B component of ABLC in concentrations of 0.5 and 2.0 mg/litre are stable for less then 24 h, and the 10 mg/litre solution is stable for 48 h. NMR spectra of samples at the first and last time points illustrate that the complex, however, is not stable. Future studies to evaluate the stability of the lipid complex over time are recommended.
