A case is reported in a 50-year-old male diabetic renal transplant patient from Connecticut, USA , who developed a foot abscess due to Fusarium solani. The infection persisted despite aggressive surgical debridement and a 3-month course of intravenous liposomal amphotericin B (total dose 1500 mg).
