Responses of 104 female adolescents to the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) 7GF card and to the Scenotest (SCT) were analyzed to determine the influence of the mother's place of work (at home or away) and her satisfaction on the daughter's sex-role identification. Several 2 .times. 2 ANOVA showed that the satisfaction the mother gathers from her job is an important factor in the daughter's positive sexual identification. Neither mother's place of work nor interaction had any influence on the daughter's identification.
