During 1978 the cases of Candida infection increased in both sexes but more particularly in men (14.9% increase). The total of cases with C. infection was 38 465 (36 805 in 1977); for women it was 30 657 (30 011 in 1977) and for men it was 7808 (6794 in 1977).
