Properties of membranes of biological cells to a considerable degree determine those processes capable of maintaining the vigour both of cells themselves and the body as a whole. Alterations of rheologic properties of blood are regarded as one of the most important parameters in the course of the pathologic process in bronchial asthma. Patients with bronchial asthma revealed appreciable alterations of erythrocyte morphofunctional condition, which make for disturbances in the terminal perfusion secondary to blockage of microvessels by rigid cells and cell aggregates.
