The study evaluates the usefulness of CEA antigen levels determination in laryngeal cancers. The investigation was performed in 25 patients with various TNM stages. Serum levels were examined before treatment and after combined therapy in each month of monitoring up to a 6-month period. CEA levels were found to be elevated in 56% of cases. That correlated nonsignificantly with the clinical stage. An increase of serum CEA levels means bad prognosis.
