A case of cryptococcosis

The case is presented of a 27-yr-old woman who was unsuccessfully treated for tuberculous meningitis with steroids and antituberculous drugs for 15 days and was then found to have cryptococcal meningitis. Cerebrospinal fluid was positive for Cryptococcus neoformans. Treatment with amphotericin B and hamycin was unsuccessful and the patient died.
