The oral progestins are highly acceptable to women of all classes including the poorest and the totally uneducated, who continue after 5 years as satisfied users. Side effects are negligible with the new low-dose compounds. Medication may be interrupted for desired pregnancy with assurance that fertility and future offspring will be normal.
