The aim of this audit was to evaluate the effect of the introduction of biochemical screening for Down's syndrome (triple test i.e. serum alphafetoprotein (AFP), human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), and unconjugated oestriol (uE3)) an amniaocentesis at Whipps Cross Hospital.
