The effects of nitrendipine (20 mg) were examined in 30 patients suffering from slight to moderate arterial hypertension. Active treatment with nitrendipine (in a single daily dose of 20 mg) continued for 90 days. The administration of the drug in a single dose enabled good control of blood pressure levels to be achieved in 80% of cases (p < 0.059).
