The postoperative finding of gallbladder cancer after laparoscopic cholecystectomy is unavoidable. Because of the special technique, tumor dissemination with serious consequences is seen more frequently than after open cholecystectomy. For prevention, the general use of saving bags and a reduced indication in cases of advanced inflammation and high-risk groups is discussed.
