Chronic suppurative otitis media without cholesteatoma (CSOMWC) is a significant disease process within the pediatric population. The definition, epidemiology, pathogenesis, pathology, and microbiology of CSOMWC are described. Recommendations for the medical management of CSOMWC are supported by the clinical outcomes of three studies.
