A brief report describes some of the feeding practices in Colombia, South America using information developed from a 1981 national feeding and housing survey. Information is given on the design of the survey, the characteristics of the study population, and the survey results. The results are discussed in terms of foods most commonly used, their contribution to caloric and protein intake, the adequacy of caloric and protein intake, and main food preparations used and consumed in households.
