After oral administration to female rats of the following single doses of HCB:, 5, 10, 100 and 500 mg/kg of body weight the activity of AHH, AH, UDP-gluc. and delta-ALa-S was determined. A significant rise of activity was observed in the case of AHH. In subacute experiment (3 months) carried out again on female rats with the following HCB levels in the diet: 50, 250 and 1250 mg/kg the activity of AHH and NADM was determined in the liver and the level of coproporphyrins and uroporphyrins in urine. A systematic dose-dependent rise in the values of these parameters was observed.
