The authors discuss in detail the data on the carcinogens benzene, asbestos, PAHS, formaldehyde, and diesel exhaust, and they go on to examine the prevalent cancers in firefighters, including leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and cancer of the brain and bladder.
