The infant feeding behaviour of 100 women was observed and documented until their infants were 12 months old. Duration of breastfeeding, reasons for weaning and the women's satisfaction with breastfeeding are discussed. Antenatal and perinatal factors are analysed, demonstrating a significant link with education status.
