Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, there appears to be an achievable balance of facial proportions that creates a pleasing appearance. This article will present the methods used by orthodontists to measure facial features and the relationship of the soft tissue to the underlying hard tissue in relation to the procedures used in changing facial growth and appearance.
