Austrian gross returns per ha of adjusted agricultural land for 1988 were up 2.8% on 1987 at Sch 39 719/ha. Incomes improved in nearly all areas including mountain areas the only exception being the south east. After an introductory description of survey methodology the report reviews general results for the year, structural changes in land use, livestock holdings, labour supply and households, capital, incomes, gross returns expenditures, market production and self supply. The table section breaks down book-keeping results by production area, size class and income per full time worker.
