A case of fibroprurulent diskospondylitis was diagnosed in a 10-year-ld labrador Retriever with a history of lassitude and walking difficulties for 2 days. Bacteria isolated following surgical biopsy resembled Actinomyces or Nocardia. Treatment with amoxcillin/clavulanic acid acid was unsuccessful and the dog was destroyed. Comments on the case report by R. S. Bagley and J. M. Owens are provided.
