Diagnosis and surgical treatment of tubular stenosis of the distal common bile duct

The results of operative treatment of 90 patients with tubular stenosis of common biliary duct distal portion of nonneoplastic genesis were analyzed. The scheme-algorithm of the patients examination and differentiated approach to the operative procedure choice at the various tubular stenosis forms were proposed. Late follow-up results of treatment were achieved due to application, when indicated, of operation on major duodenal papilla, and also the direct draining and resecting interventions on pancreas. The mortality was 2.2%.
