The strains that have originated from the original Spanish-type horse are described, including feral (Brislaw, Cerbat and Kiger), native tribe (Choctaw and Cherokee), rancher (Belsky, Romero, Jones and Wilbur-Cruce) and Mexican (Yates and Husteca) strains.
