Endosulphan poisoning presenting as status epilepticus

A case of generalised seizures following ingestion of 20 cc of endosulfan (Endocel), an organochlorine insecticide, is presented from Haryana, India. The patient, a 25-year-old male, made a complete recovery. The mode of action of endosulfan is due to involvement of the cholinergic neuronal system, and the management is on the line of status epilepticus.
