The blood serum biochemical indices as criteria for assessing the action on the body of industrial enzyme preparations

Workers of the enzyme industry showed changes of blood biochemistry advancing with the length of contacts with enzyme drugs as evidenced by inhibition of cholinesterase, activation of phosphatase and antitryptic blood serum activity. Increased content of blood histamine in these workers evidences sensibilizations to the enzymes, while simultaneous activation of monoaminoxidase should be considered as a compensatory reaction of the body.
