Social and demographic factors influencing the acceptability of injectable method for contraception in comparison with copper 'T' I.U.D

The study was undertaken to assess the acceptability of injectiable method for contraception in comparison with copper 'T' intrauterine device. Majority of women were between the age group of 21-35 years; educational level was up to higher secondary; had 2-3 children; were from nuclear families and belonged to socio-economic status class II and III. Injectable form of contraception was equally acceptable as copper I.U.D. due to effectiveness and route of administration. Menstrual and other side effects were less with injection compared to I.U.D.
