The congenital abnormality of the pulmonary vessel's development, presented by a direct communication between pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins, has multiple pathomorphologic manifestations which lead, in turn, to a wide range of anomalies such as pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVM), pulmonary arteriovenous aneurysms (PAVA), pulmonary arteriovenous fistulas, pulmonary angiomas, cavernous hemangiomas and pulmonary-hamartomas (Rozenstrauch et al. 1987: Burke et a1. 1986).
